Wilburton Flame

Really good addition to the local food scene. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were kind and attentive. Would definitely recommend popping in for a bite to eat or having takeaway. Edit: they have also now started doing Sunday roasts, both English and Indian style!

Stopped in tonight to have not a full meal but to try some of the bar snacks. First of all I was delighted with the real ale from a local brewery from Earith. We tried quite a few of the bar snacks. I would describe this as an Indian tapas meal. It was tasty and very filling and complemented the local teal ale. The service was very good and we were also offered a spoon full of two tasty sweets that were to settle the digestion after all that we ate. I also photographed the full list of bar snacks as we did not try them all but will come back again. I was impressed by the Indian Gujarat menu, subtly different to the normal Bangladesh Indian menus.

First time at this Indian restaurant the experience was amazing friendly staff the restaurant is open and creates a great atmosphere. The spice and tastes puts another twist on Indian food we enjoyed. Definitely recommend it’s worth the effort to visit this place.

It was a sunny Saturday in Cambridgeshire and, having found out they are open for lunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, we decided to visit the Wilburton Flame. Plenty of parking round the back, a sunny terrace for outside eating and a smart restaurant and bar awaits you inside. Thank goodness it was not a huge menu and the dishes we chose were delicious. Very welcoming with a friendly service. We will definitely be returning.

We are SO lucky to have this on our doorstep! Been meaning to come since they opened and it’s always busy - good for them! We were very lucky to get a call back today as they had a cancellation and we are soooo glad they did - what service! Love the decor, love the service; such a warm welcome from our friends we know from the village, and - the food … wow. We had onion bhajees, a chaat dish, poppadoms with the loveliest chutney and yoghurt, mini red onions… Mains were chicken biriyani, and lamb sag dish with pilau rice and a shared garlic naan. The flavours were delicate tasty and such succulent meat - the lamb melted in the mouth. Too full for dessert but next time ! House wine very good and good value and a good choice of beer. Fantastic. Cannot fault and can’t wait to see our Stretham friends again!

Both Dean and Harsha gave my family a very warm welcome and provided superb service throughout. The food was packed with flavours and beautifully presented. The value for money was also excellent. Please support this wonderful local business and treat yourself to a lovely dining experience at Wilburton Flame — you won’t be disappointed!

First visit and pleasantly surprised at lovely atmosphere with lively bar and very attractive restaurant, food was delicious and interesting with spices but not too hot. Very polite friendly staff. Will be going again soon.
